What does the Chapter do?

The Chapter participates in "Advocacy In Action," an annual Washington lobbying effort by chapters to benefit active duty, reserve component, retired military personnel, and spouses. The Chapter is also part of Minnesota’s Military Action Group (MAG). This is an association of Minnesota industry and military organizations devoted to enhancing Minnesota’s image as a place friendly towards veterans and military retirees. We are also members of the Minnesota Dept. of Veterans Affairs sponsored United Veterans Legislative Council  ( UVLC) "A consortium of Veterans, Military, Auxiliary organizations to exchange information and support issues relating to Entitlements for Veterans, Active Military , Military Retirees, the National Guard and Military Reservists, their dependents , and survivors."  Web site:  www.mnuvlc.org.  Members are kept informed on state and national legislation via The MCMOAA'n, our bimonthly award-winning newsletter. The  Chapter actively provides support to the local Fisher House, the Armed Forces Service Center at the Minneapolis/St. Paul International Airport and Heroes on Horseback, Free Urns for Veterans, Minnesota Assistance Council for Veterans, Minnesota Warriors and the Minnesota National Guard Youth Camp. Certificates of excellence, scholarships and medals are presented to outstanding ROTC and JROTC graduates. The chapter actively participates in Retiree Appreciation Days at numerous sites Minnesota. MCMOAA is a force nationally and locally and it wants you to be a part of this force.
